Will renal hamartoma disappear?

Renal hamartoma is a benign tumor. Nowadays, this disease is also very common. It can be a single disease or a manifestation of tuberous sclerosis. Foreign reports show that about 50% of patients diagnosed with renal hamartoma have tuberous sclerosis, which is a hereditary disease with a familial tendency, manifested as brain dysplasia, epilepsy, and sebaceous adenoma of the cheek. It is relatively rare for patients with renal hamartoma in my country to have tuberous sclerosis. So, will renal hamartoma disappear? Let's find out together!

Will renal hamartoma disappear? Renal hamartoma, also known as renal angiomyolipoma, is a benign tumor that grows slowly. Those smaller than 4 cm do not need to be treated, otherwise laparoscopic surgery can be chosen. However, renal hamartoma will not disappear on its own.

1. Hamartoma is characterized by high incidence, high rate of canceration, high recurrence rate, difficult surgery, and many complications. There is no specific treatment at home or abroad, so many hamartoma patients suffer from rapid tumor growth, tumor rupture and bleeding, organ function damage, tissue cell necrosis and even cancer due to lack of correct and effective treatment.

2 The incidence rate has tended to increase in recent years, which may be related to the improvement of diagnostic technology. Renal hamartoma can be an independent disease or it may be accompanied by tuberous sclerosis, the latter of which is a familial hereditary disease. Renal angiomyolipoma is a benign tumor. Small tumors can be followed up for a long time and generally do not require treatment.

3 The clinical manifestations are very complex, ranging from early cases with no obvious clinical symptoms and limited to smaller hamartomas, to late cases with larger hamartomas that squeeze surrounding tissues and abdominal organs, or rupture and bleed of the tumor, causing organ damage, tissue cell necrosis, cancer, or hemorrhagic shock.
