Bladder cancer needs to be differentiated from 3 types of diseases. What is the prognosis of advanced bladder cancer?

Bladder cancer is a malignant tumor of the urinary system. Therefore, after the onset of the disease, the first thing people ask is what the mortality rate of this disease is. Is there any more direct treatment method in clinical practice? Then, which three types of diseases should bladder cancer be distinguished from? The following editor will introduce to you "Bladder cancer should be distinguished from three types of diseases. What is the prognosis of bladder cancer in the late stage?"

Bladder cancer should be differentiated from 3 types of diseases

1. Kidney and ureteral tumors.

The characteristics of patients with hematuria are sufficient painless hematuria, the symptoms of bladder cancer are very similar, and the upper urinary tract cancer cells cause hematuria. Further diagnostic methods should be ultrasound, CT and urography.

2. Urinary tract tuberculosis.

Hematuria bladder cancer occurs, accompanied by chronic bladder irritation symptoms such as fever, sweating, weight loss and weakness, acid-fast bacilli in the urine or cystoscopy requires systemic symptoms, differential diagnosis of bladder cancer.

3. Benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Dysuria, hematuria, and prostate are common manifestations. When patients enter old age, bladder cancer and prostate hyperplasia will occur together. In order to better identify them, urine cytology, cystoscopy, and ultrasound diagnosis are performed.

What is the prognosis of advanced bladder cancer?

1. Advanced bladder cancer is not as scary as we think.

2. Advanced bladder cancer can be divided into three types: invasive bladder cancer which is confined to the muscle layer of the bladder without lymph node metastasis and distant organ metastasis; locally advanced bladder cancer which is confined to the pelvic cavity with lymph node metastasis but no distant metastasis; and metastatic bladder cancer with metastasis to distant lymph nodes or organs.

3. If there is no distant lymph node metastasis or bladder cancer, radical cystectomy, regional lymph node dissection and urinary diversion are usually used; if there is only superficial muscle-invasive bladder cancer, transurethral bladder tumor resection and bladder-preserving surgery can be selected, and the cure rate can be improved by combining radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

5. The survival rate of local bladder cancer has reached over 90%; that of locally advanced bladder cancer has reached 45%; but compared with bladder cancer with distant metastasis, the 5-year survival rate is relatively low, at only 6%.

The above is the editor's introduction to "Bladder cancer should be differentiated from 3 types of diseases. What is the prognosis of advanced bladder cancer?". I hope that when you have bladder cancer, you must go to a regular hospital for professional examination and cooperate with the treatment. Men who do not have liver cancer must take measures to prevent bladder cancer.
