Will there be a problem of metastasis if bladder cancer does not recur?

Will there be a problem of metastasis if bladder cancer does not recur?

After diagnosis, surgical guidance should be given immediately, and intravesical chemotherapy is required after surgery to reduce the possibility of postoperative recurrence. Bladder cancer is a common malignant tumor of the urinary system. The disease may not have any symptoms in the early stage. As the tumor progresses, gross hematuria, pain, swelling and other symptoms may occur. It can also metastasize to other parts of the body through different pathways. If there are surgical indications after diagnosis, surgical treatment should be performed in a timely manner.

Is there a high chance of bladder cancer coming back?

After surgery, patients receive radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and chemotherapy, and the recurrence rate will decrease, perhaps to around 10%. The recurrence rate of bladder tumors is extremely high, at around 80%, much higher than that of liver cancer and kidney cancer, and the treatment and examination of bladder tumors are more complicated. Conservative treatment, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy are often recommended for recurrent bladder cancer.

What is the difference between cystitis and bladder cancer?

Bladder cancer and cystitis are both bladder diseases, but the two diseases are very different. Not only are the causes different, but the symptoms, appropriate treatments, and the nature of the disease itself are also very different. Cystitis is an infection, which is generally caused by bacterial infection. Bacterial infection is the bacteria in our reproductive tract that enter the urinary system and cause inflammation. It is more common in women. Its common symptoms include frequent urination, urgency, pain, and gross hematuria. It will soon improve after antibiotic treatment. Bladder cancer and cystitis are two completely different diseases, and they are fundamentally different.
