How many times should urethral instillation be done?

It is indeed very reasonable to be afraid of cancer, because cancer is now appearing more and more frequently in people's lives. There are various types of cancer, and once they occur, no matter what type they are, they can cause people to lose their lives. Bladder cancer is a common cancer and patients need chemotherapy after it occurs. A type of chemotherapy called urethral instillation will also be done, but how many times should urethral instillation be done?

Urethral instillation, also known as intravesical instillation chemotherapy, is a type of intracavitary chemotherapy. It is usually used clinically as an adjuvant treatment for bladder cancer patients after surgery. After the urethral opening is disinfected, the catheter is inserted into the bladder along the urethra, and then the chemotherapy drugs are injected into the bladder and retained in the bladder for half an hour. During the drug retention period, the patient should try to soak all the bladder mucosal epithelium in the chemotherapy drugs. This can be done by turning over regularly, such as lying prone, supine, left or right side, and sitting. When the retention time is up, the patient should immediately empty the urine and drink plenty of water.

Transurethral instillation for prostatitis

Conventional treatments for prostate disease:

1. General treatment

At work, you should avoid sitting for long periods of time, riding a bicycle, etc. to reduce pressure on the prostate.

3. In terms of diet, drinking more water and urinating more often can flush the urethra, help eliminate prostate secretions, and reduce irritation symptoms. Avoid smoking, drinking and spicy food.

1. Rest, hot compress on the perineum, sitz bath, laxative, antispasmodic and analgesic, antipyretic, etc.

2. Eliminate mental worries, keep a good mood, exercise, live a regular life, and enhance confidence in treatment.

4. In terms of sexual life, the number of sexual intercourses should not be too many, and "intercourse interruption" should be avoided to reduce congestion of prostate tissue, but abstinence is not necessary.

2. Treatment with traditional Chinese medicine:

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that chronic prostatitis is often a mixture of deficiency and excess, with kidney deficiency as the main symptom and spleen deficiency as the auxiliary symptom, or blood stasis, or dampness and heat. Among them, the most common syndrome is kidney deficiency with dampness and heat.

3. External physical therapy such as radio frequency, microwave, infrared, ultrasound, etc.:

The principle of using electric fields and wave energy to make tissues heat up cannot fundamentally improve pathological changes caused by factors such as inflammation, but can only temporarily relieve symptoms. Moreover, radio frequency radiation and various external touch therapies can also cause some damage to the organs around the prostate. In short, the above therapies have not been widely used because their efficacy is not very certain, there is no treatment method that is easily accepted by patients, or there is a possibility of causing impotence and infertility, which limits their use in men of normal reproductive age.

4. Transurethral instillation therapy:

Principle: Use pressure to make the antibiotic solution flow back into the prostate duct from the opening of the prostate duct in the urethra and diffuse into the prostate lobules.

Medicine: The basic medicine is antibiotics, which are selected through bacterial culture of prostatic fluid. Dexamethasone, 1% lidocaine, and atropine may be added. The solution is retained for 30 minutes or longer.

There are some common treatments for prostatitis that each of us needs to understand. The common treatments for prostatitis are introduced here. If you feel prostate discomfort in your life, you should get checked in time.
