Three places of itching in the early stage of nasopharyngeal cancer

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a malignant tumor that occurs in the nasopharynx. There is generally no specific three places where nasopharyngeal carcinoma itches in the early stages. It may occur in the nasal cavity, the back of the throat, the ears, the neck skin, and the scalp. It is recommended to go to a regular hospital for treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

1. Itching inside the nasal cavity: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma may cause itching or discomfort inside the nasal cavity. Nasopharyngeal endoscopy and possible biopsy should be performed. Surgical resection is recommended for early treatment.

2. Itching at the back of the throat: Nasopharyngeal cancer may cause itching at the back of the throat, sometimes accompanied by difficulty swallowing. This can be improved through radiotherapy and can control the progression of the disease.

3. Ear itching: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma may affect the middle ear through the Eustachian tube, causing ear itching or hearing loss. Treatment with drugs such as cefixime capsules or amoxicillin capsules under the guidance of a doctor can improve middle ear problems.

4. Itchy skin on the neck: If nasopharyngeal carcinoma spreads to the cervical lymph nodes, it may cause itchy skin on the neck, requiring radiotherapy or surgery of the cervical lymph nodes.

5. Scalp itching: In some cases, nasopharyngeal cancer may affect the sensory nerves of the scalp, causing scalp itching. While treating nasopharyngeal cancer, you may need to deal with the paresthesia of the scalp. You can follow the doctor's advice to use drugs such as loratadine tablets or chlorpheniramine maleate tablets, which can have a sedative effect.

Treatment for NPC is usually a multidisciplinary approach, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery, and/or targeted therapy, with specific plans developed by oncologists based on the patient's specific circumstances. During treatment, patients may also require supportive care, such as pain management, nutritional support, and psychological support.
