Is breast cancer really difficult to detect? Here are 3 easy ways to diagnose it

Breast cancer is very harmful, so we must learn how to check it. So do you know how to check it?

Breast cancer is very common in our lives and the incidence of this disease is very high. In fact, breast cancer is not a difficult disease. If you can grasp the best treatment time and detect the disease as soon as possible, you can treat it as soon as possible and will not miss the best treatment time.

Breast cancer screening methods

Thermal image inspection

The temperature distribution of the body surface is displayed by using images. Since cancer cells proliferate quickly and blood vessels increase, the surface temperature of the tumor increases, that is, the corresponding body surface temperature is higher than the surrounding tissue, and diagnosis can be made based on this difference. However, this diagnostic method lacks precise image standards, the abnormal thermal location does not correspond to the tumor, and the diagnostic consistency rate is poor, so it has been less used in recent years.

Ultrasound examination

Ultrasound imaging can clearly understand the morphology, boundaries, tumors, size, shape, and properties (cystic or solid) of breast tissue, providing a reliable basis for distinguishing benign and malignant tumors. The accuracy of ultrasound diagnosis of breast cancer in 30-year-olds is 80%~85%. Strong echo bands, damage to normal breast structures, and local skin thickening or depression above the mass are important reference indicators for diagnosing breast cancer. Ultrasound examination is non-destructive and can be used repeatedly.

Check tumor markers

During the process of carcinogenesis, tumor cells produce and secrete, directly release cell tissue components, and exist in tumor cells or host body fluids in the form of antigens, enzymes, hormones or metabolites, which are called tumor markers. Inspection methods include: carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), ferritin, monoclonal antibodies, etc.

Early symptoms of breast cancer

1. Symptoms of nipple changes: Breast cancer is the problem that women are most reluctant to encounter, because in this case there may be a risk of mastectomy, so it also has a certain impact on women's confidence. Many women do not understand breast cancer. Therefore, paying attention to abnormal changes in the breast in time will detect the presence of the disease in time. When there is cancer near the nipple, the nipple is often pulled up, so the height of the nipples on both sides is different. Inverted nipple is an important sign of central breast cancer. The nipple is difficult to pull out with fingers, and the nipple is in a fixed contracted state. Eczematoid cancer sees nipple erosion, often with scabs; the lesion area is clearly demarcated from the skin, and the lesion skin is thicker. Especially in patients with advanced breast cancer, these phenomena are more obvious and serious.

2. Lump symptoms: In many cases, due to the early stage, many people will choose to ignore these problems. In fact, many patients also have hope of discovery, but they just don't pay attention to breast abnormalities. Breast lumps are the main manifestation of advanced breast cancer symptoms, usually occurring in the upper outer part of the breast. Adult women in particular should pay great attention to breast lumps.

3. Pain symptoms: Breast cancer can cause pain. Although it is difficult to bear, many patients do not detect it in the early stages. The vast majority of early breast cancer patients do not have obvious pain, but in late breast cancer, the pain is more obvious, mostly paroxysmal stabbing pain and dull pain.

4. Symptoms of nipple discharge: Nipple discharge can be physiological or pathological. The incidence of nipple discharge during non-pregnancy and lactation is about 3%-8%. The discharge can be colorless, milky white, light yellow, brown, bloody, etc. It can also be watery, bloody, and serous purulent. The amount of discharge can be more or less, and the interval time is also different. Generally, patients in the late stage have severe discharge. At this time, a smear cytology examination should be performed on the nipple discharge. Of course, breast cancer is often accompanied by breast lumps. Few people have nipple discharge alone as a symptom.

5. Symptoms of breast skin changes: Breast cancer skin changes are related to the depth and extent of invasion of the tumor. If the tumor is small and deep, the skin will not change. If the tumor is large and shallow, it will adhere to the skin in the early stage, causing the skin to sag. If cancer cells block the subcutaneous lymphatic vessels, causing skin edema and forming orange peel-like changes, it is a late stage manifestation. (Reference website: Medical)
