How long can you live with advanced cervical cancer? What should you pay attention to in the advanced cervical cancer?

How long can you live with advanced uterine cancer? First, you need to understand the symptoms and treatments of advanced cervical cancer.

The main symptoms of advanced uterine cancer are:

(1) Pain. Cancer extends along nearby tissues, invades the pelvic wall, and compresses peripheral nerves. Clinically, it manifests as persistent pain in the sciatic nerve or one side of the sacroiliac region. The tumor compresses or erodes the ureter, causing narrowing and obstruction of the ureter, leading to hydronephrosis, which manifests as low back pain or even severe pain, and further develops into renal failure and uremia. Invasion of the lymphatic system leads to lymphatic obstruction, swelling, and pain.

(2) Systemic symptoms: Patients in the late stage will have fever due to cancer tissue metabolism, necrotic tissue absorption or combined infection. The body temperature is generally 38°C, and a few may reach above 39°C. Anemia, weight loss and even cachexia are caused by symptoms of late stage uterine cancer.

(3) Symptoms of cervical cancer metastasis: Cancer can spread forward and invade the bladder. Patients may experience frequent urination, urgency, pain, falling, and hematuria, which are often misdiagnosed as urinary tract infections, delaying diagnosis. Severe bladder-vaginal fistulas may form. Cancer can spread backward and invade the rectum, causing symptoms such as falling, difficulty defecating, urgency, and bloody stools. Further development may lead to vaginal-rectal fistulas. Advanced lesions may metastasize to distant sites. Symptoms vary depending on the site of metastasis, with clavicular lymph node metastasis, nodules, or masses being more common. Cancer infiltration can spread to distant organs through the blood vessels or lymphatic system, and corresponding metastatic sites and their corresponding symptoms may appear.

According to TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment, the fundamental pathogenesis of uterine cancer is the deficiency of vital energy and the accumulation of evil toxins.
