Can stomach cancer be cured? Pay attention to these points

Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, and there are many causes of gastric cancer. If gastric cancer occurs, it is of course an unfortunate thing, but having gastric cancer does not mean the end of the world. The cure rate of early gastric cancer can reach 90% through treatment. For patients in stage III and IV, the life of the patient can be prolonged. Therefore, if you usually have stomach discomfort, you must diagnose and treat it early to achieve the effect of cure.

Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor originating from the gastric mucosal epithelium. It ranks first among all malignant tumors in my country. There are obvious regional differences in the incidence of gastric cancer. The incidence of gastric cancer in the northwest and eastern coastal areas of my country is significantly higher than that in the southern region. The age of onset is over 50 years old, and the ratio of male to female incidence is 2:1. Due to changes in dietary structure, increased work pressure and Helicobacter pylori infection, gastric cancer tends to be younger. So, can gastric cancer be cured?
Through medical research and clinical treatment, it has been found that early-stage gastric cancer patients can achieve a 90% cure rate through surgical treatment. The surgery is mainly done through radical resection of gastric cancer. Radical resection of gastric cancer mainly refers to D1 radical resection and D2 radical resection. Depending on the location and severity of the lesion, more clearance can be done to achieve the purpose of radical cure.
Although patients with mid- to late-stage gastric cancer cannot be cured, they can prolong their lives through treatment. Since each patient's condition is different, the treatment effect is also different. Some patients can live for several years or even more than ten years under the correct treatment, but some patients die in just a few months, so it is very important for gastric cancer patients to cooperate with the treatment.
Patients with advanced gastric cancer mainly take surgical treatment, which can slow down the spread of cancer cells by removing part of the cancerous tissue in the stomach, and then cooperate with chemotherapy. Although the side effects are great, the effect is good and can slow down the disease. There is also targeted therapy, which kills cancer cells through oral drugs and slows down the replication of viruses, but the specificity of these drugs is not 100%.
In order to detect and treat early, if the following symptoms occur, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible to achieve a cure. Most patients with early gastric cancer have no obvious symptoms, and a few have nausea, vomiting, or upper gastrointestinal symptoms similar to ulcer disease, which are difficult to attract enough attention. As the tumor grows, it affects gastric function and only then does it show more obvious symptoms, but they lack specificity.
