What ointment is best for burns

When the surface of human skin comes into contact with high temperature, it is easy to get burns, so in daily life we must try to avoid contact with these high-temperature objects as much as possible. If you do not take good care of yourself after a burn, it will not be easy for the burn scar to heal, and it will also leave ugly scars on the surface of your skin. Therefore, you should take care of yourself as soon as possible after a burn. So what kind of ointment should be applied to achieve the best effect in case of burns?

What medicine is good for children's burns?

Wanhua Oil, Jinwanhong Oil, Zhenghonghua Oil and others have greater side effects, while Lithospermum Officinale Oil is better. If the burn surface is damaged, using the above-mentioned medicine will more easily deepen the wound and cause infection, which will make treatment difficult. The depth, size and degree of the wound must be diagnosed first, and then the medicine can be used under the guidance of a doctor.

Once scalded by boiling water, steam, hot oil, etc., you should immediately rinse with cold water for more than 15 minutes to lower the local temperature, reduce further damage to the wound, and reduce pain, then seek medical attention in time to determine medication. If blisters occur, small blisters do not require any treatment; for soybean-sized blisters, if the wound is relatively shallow, you can cut the blisters with sterilized scissors, dry them with sterilized cotton balls or gauze, and apply some comfrey oil or comfrey flower ointment.

To avoid infection, it is best to go to the hospital for further treatment. During the recovery stage, you can use Medex Ointment (24.5 yuan/tube), Hirudoid Ointment (38.64 yuan/tube), Heplin Ointment (15 yuan/tube), and Kangruibao Ointment (65 yuan/tube) to prevent pigmentation and scar formation, and also to relieve itching. Among them, Kangruibao has the best effect. If the pigmentation or scars are deep and affect the appearance and function, rehabilitation treatment is still needed.

Because children's skin is particularly delicate and their tolerance is poor, burns are often more serious and they are more likely to get infections and complications. Therefore, it is best not to take medicine on your own and go to the hospital as soon as possible.

Emergency treatment methods after burns

1. Stay away from heat sources: First, quickly stay away from heat sources and carefully take off the clothes on the burned area to expose the wound; if the clothes are stuck to the skin and cannot be taken off, you can cut them open with scissors, do not take them off forcibly to avoid damaging the wound.

2. Cooling and heat dissipation: There will be a lot of residual heat in the wound after a burn or scald, which needs to be cooled and dissipated, otherwise it will burn the deep skin and cause deeper burns. You can use edible white wine (20-50 degree white wine, not alcohol) or the second rice washing water (use purified water or cold boiled water to wash rice, and use the second rice washing water) to rinse the wound to cool it down. You can also soak cotton wool in white wine and apply it to the affected area to cool it down. This can quickly absorb the residual heat from the burn, relieve pain and prevent blistering. Note: Do not use cold water to rinse the wound to cool it down, otherwise it will allow heat and toxins to seep into the wound, causing inflammation and infection of the wound, skin ulcers, and greatly increasing the chance of scarring.

3. Blister treatment: Blisters caused by burns and scalds need to be pricked, otherwise they are prone to purulent infection and will also affect the wound's absorption of drugs, which is not conducive to wound recovery. Use a sterilized needle to prick small blisters at a low position to drain the water; for large blisters, use sterilized scissors to cut an opening and drain the water. After the blister is pricked, do not cut off the blister skin, and certainly not tear it off with your hands. The blister skin can protect the wound and prevent infection and inflammation.

4. Apply medicine on the wound: Apply medicine on the burn or scald after the blister is pricked. If there is no medicine for burns or scalds, you can use balm or aloe vera juice to evenly apply it on the wound, which can relieve pain and provide certain treatment. Try not to bandage the wound after applying medicine. If it must be bandaged, use clean and sterilized gauze. Do not bandage it too thickly or tightly, and pay attention to air permeability, otherwise it will affect the wound recovery speed and cause the burn to be difficult to heal for a long time.
