1. Upper abdominal pain.

Early gastric cancer generally does not cause obvious abdominal pain, but late-stage gastric cancer has obvious dull upper abdominal pain, tumor perforation, and can cause severe abdominal pain.

2. Ascites, liver enlargement, and jaundice.

The most common site for gastric cancer to metastasize is the liver. When secondary hepatocellular carcinoma occurs, the patient will experience symptoms such as peritoneal effusion, liver enlargement, and jaundice. Of course, liver metastasis of gastric cancer also indicates the progression of gastric cancer.

3. Nausea and vomiting.

When gastric cancer develops to a certain extent, it often causes pyloric obstruction, so nausea and vomiting will occur.

4. Weight loss and anemia.

The stomach is a digestive organ. Continuous indigestion can lead to malnutrition and malabsorption. In addition to consuming the tumor, it is also easy to lose weight and anemia. As the disease progresses, distant metastasis can also lead to cachexia.

5. Vomiting blood and black stools

Gastric cancer can cause vomiting and black stools, which are typical manifestations of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Some gastric cancer patients do not have obvious black stools, only occult positive blood in the stool.

6. Abdominal mass.

A hard, unclearly-margined, poorly mobile mass is palpated in the slightly right upper abdomen, which corresponds to the location of the gastric antrum, the most common site for gastric cancer and should also be considered.

Advanced cancer is very difficult to treat. If effective treatment is not taken, the patient's survival time may be very short, even less than three months, usually within a year.

Even in advanced stages, some patients can still be treated. If they have spread, they can also be controlled with radiation therapy.

As long as they can be controlled, some patients can survive for more than ten years. With the advancement of medical technology, the survival time of patients will be longer and longer, so patients must have hope.
