Nowadays, people often encounter fibroids in their lives. This disease is very common, so we should understand some of the symptoms of fibroids. After being diagnosed with fibroids, we must immediately take measures to actively treat them to prevent the disease from worsening. Let's talk about what harm fibroids can do to the body! It is a relatively common benign tumor of well-differentiated fibrous connective tissue. It is more common in young people, solitary, mostly millimeters to several centimeters, and painless. It is often discovered accidentally, hard, with clear boundaries, movable, and slow growth. It can occur in subcutaneous tissues of all parts of the body. For example, tumors that grow in the breasts of young women and are mainly glandular are called fibroadenomas, and tumors that grow in muscles with muscle tissue are called fibromyomas. When multiple tumors occur, they are called tumor-like lesions, which are called fibromatosis. For example, congenital systemic fibromatosis is "benign" in appearance, but new lesions in important organs can also lead to death. If they grow in the compressed area of the sacrum, they will grow rapidly, erode, ulcerate, bleed and become malignant. Desmoid fibroma (ligament-like tumor) that grows in the abdominal wall rectus abdominis, neck, trunk and limbs is more common in women. If radical resection is not performed, it is very likely to recur, but it does not metastasize, so it is called a borderline tumor. (1) Skin lesions: After trauma, skin fibroma may develop ulcers, papules or nodules in the skin, which are hard and raised, with a pushable base but connected to the epidermis. The surface of the skin is smooth or rough, with varying shades of color, ranging from normal skin color to yellow-brown, dark brown or light red. It is more common in middle-aged adults and rarely in children. It is usually a round or oval papule or nodule, about 1 cm in diameter, usually not more than 2 cm, and occasionally 2 cm or larger. The skin lesions often persist, but may disappear on their own after a few years. (2) Occasionally, there may be mild pain. Some patients may develop multiple fibroids, which are associated with treatment with prednisone or immunosuppressants and HIV infection. (3) The surface of the nodule is smooth or rough and warty. It is often single or multiple. It is firm and hard to the touch. It is adhered to the epidermis above but not to the deep tissue. It can move freely below. When pressed laterally, a tiny depression appears in the center of the nodule, which is characteristic. Fitzpatri proposed the name "dimple sign" to indicate its characteristic. The "dimple sign" is positive (if the tumor is pinched from both sides with the thumb and index finger, the skin above it will be slightly sunken. It is critical to carry out scientific treatment in time when fibroids appear. Even after surgery, patients need to pay special attention to self-protection, especially the recovery of the affected area. It is necessary to strictly follow the medicines prescribed by professional doctors. If you have taken the medicines prescribed by the doctor but your physical condition is still weak, do not buy some medicines on your own to avoid aggravating the condition. |
