Detailed introduction of fibroids

The incidence of fibroids in life cannot be ignored. Many people do not know much about fibroids and delay treatment, which causes great harm to the body. Therefore, it is necessary for us to understand fibroids. Fibroids are also closely related to some bad habits in life, so today we will introduce fibroids in detail.

Fibroids are benign tumors derived from fibrous connective tissue. There are different types of fibroids due to their different components. Fibroids are widely distributed in the human body and form the gaps between organs, so fibroids can occur in any part of the body. The skin and subcutaneous tissue are the most common, and fibroids can also occur in the fascia, periosteum, nasopharynx and other mucosal tissues, as well as other organs such as breasts, ovaries, and kidneys. They vary in size and grow slowly.

Fibroids are often found under the skin, grow slowly, are generally small, have clear edges, smooth surfaces, are hard, and can be pushed. If mixed with other components, they become fibromyomas, fibroadenomas, fibrolipomas, etc. Fibroids, especially hard fibroids in the abdominal wall muscles, can become malignant and should be completely removed as soon as possible. There are several types of fibroids:

1. Xanthofibroma: It is prone to occur in the dermis or subcutaneous layer of the trunk and proximal upper arm. It often arises from small papules after trauma or itching. The lumps are hard with unclear edges. Because they are accompanied by internal bleeding, they contain hemosiderin and are dark brown. If the tumor is larger than one centimeter and grows rapidly, it should be suspected to be fibrosarcoma and must be completely removed surgically.

2. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans: Located in the dermis, protruding from the body surface, with smooth surface skin, shaped like keloid, prone to occur on the trunk, low-grade malignancy, with pseudocapsule, prone to recurrence after resection, multiple recurrences increase malignancy, and can metastasize through the blood. The tumor lesion containing enough normal skin and deep adjacent fascia should be removed as soon as possible.

3. Band-like fibroma: It is caused by the reparative hyperplasia of the abdominal wall muscles after trauma or birth injury. It has no obvious capsule and is suitable for surgical removal.

The above is a detailed introduction to fibroids. I hope it will be helpful to you. Eat in moderation, avoid raw, cold and greasy food, avoid spicy food, and quit smoking and drinking. Maintain personal hygiene, take a bath and change clothes frequently. Pay attention to rest, exercise moderately, and combine work and rest. Good health is the foundation.
