Purpura nephritis is mainly diagnosed based on routine urine examination. Whether the urine protein in the routine urine examination is normal can be used to make a preliminary judgment on whether the patient has purpura nephritis. The value of urine protein test is not very accurate, and the possibility of disease cannot be determined by relying solely on this indicator. A 24-hour urine protein quantitative test and urine microprotein test are also required for a complete diagnosis. Which indicator of urine routine is purpura In purpura nephritis, the urine protein indicator in the urine routine test can basically be used to preliminarily determine whether there is a problem with the kidneys. If there is a "-" on the test sheet, it is negative, which means it is within the normal range, indicating that there is no purpura nephritis; however, the concentration of urine is easily affected. If the patient drinks a lot of water or eats food with high water content before the test, the urine will be diluted, so the accuracy of urine protein test will not be so high. If there is a "+-" on the test sheet, it means that the urine protein is weakly positive; if there is a "+" or "+++", it means that there is urine protein, and the more plus signs there are, the higher the urine protein concentration is, then the patient needs to do a 24-hour urine protein quantitative test. Other tests to confirm purpura nephritis 1. 24-hour urine protein quantitative test The 24-hour urine protein quantitative test includes the amount of protein excreted in the patient's urine during the day. Compared with the routine urine test, the advantage of this test is that it is not affected by the patient's drinking of water or urine volume; therefore, the accuracy will be higher. The normal 24-hour urine protein quantity is less than 150mg/24. Therefore, if the test results are greater than 150mg/24 for more than three times, it can be confirmed as purpura nephritis. 2. Urine microalbumin The amount of protein can be well assessed in the early stages of purpura nephritis. Microalbumin is more sensitive than total urine protein and can help detect the onset of nephritis early in patients with purpura nephritis accompanied by hypertension and diabetes. Therefore, the examination for confirming purpura nephritis is not just a routine urine test. In order to better prevent the onset of purpura nephritis, it can be confirmed through careful examination. Once purpura nephritis is confirmed, timely treatment is the key. What is purpura Henoch-Schonlein purpura is an allergic disease of small blood vessels, which is more common in children under 10 years old and rarely in adults. Causes include infection, parasites, medications, or food allergies. The symptoms are as you described. Currently, it is divided into five types: 1. Skin type, 2. Joint type, 3. Abdominal type, 4. Renal type, and 5. Mixed type. This disease can usually be cured in 2 weeks, among which purpura nephritis takes a longer time to treat. |
