Can blood test detect hepatitis

Can blood test detect hepatitis

Many people know that hepatitis is very harmful to the body, but no suitable treatment has been found. In the end, some problems will be solved again and again, and the continuous occurrence will cause some impact and burden on the body. Some people think that the examination of hepatitis is very simple and only requires blood tests to detect it, but the specific examination method still depends on how the regular examination is conducted, so that the diagnosis can be confirmed faster.

Routine blood tests cannot tell whether you have hepatitis. Taking hepatitis B as an example, you should do a hepatitis B two-pair-and-a-half test. Therefore, the blood test with a needle prick on the finger only checks whether the hepatitis B surface antigen is positive, and other indicators are generally not visible.

Hepatitis B three-line examination mainly shows the following types:

1. Not infected with hepatitis B virus, but no antibodies HBsAg (-) anti-HBs (-) HBeAg (-) anti-HBe (-) anti-HBc (-)

2. The most ideal result: Past infection or vaccination with hepatitis B vaccine, with antibodies (immunity) HBsAg (-) anti-HBs (+) HBeAg (-) anti-HBe (-) anti-HBc (-)

3. "Big Three Yang" acute or chronic hepatitis HBsAg (+): infected virus anti-HBs (-) HBeAg (+): highly contagious anti-HBe (-) anti-HBc (+)

4. Small three positive: acute infection tends to recover or chronic hepatitis HBsAg (+) anti-HBs (-) HBeAg (-) anti-HBe (+) anti-HBc (+)

5. Infected with hepatitis B virus, recovery period HBsAg (-) anti-HBs (+) HBeAg (-) anti-HBe (+) anti-HBc (+/-)

6.HBV infection and asymptomatic carriers HBsAg(+) anti-HBs(-) HBeAg(-) anti-HBe(-) anti-HBc(-)

7. Acute or chronic hepatitis B, or asymptomatic carriers HBsAg(+) anti-HBs(-) HBeAg(+) anti-HBe(-) anti-HBc(-)

Suggestions: Checking whether the hepatitis B surface antigen is positive has nothing to do with whether you are fasting, but the liver function test requires fasting. You'd better not eat next time and do a hepatitis B three-line test and liver function test.

Here are some hepatitis test items:

1. Liver function test

Liver function indicators include alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), choline esterase (CHE), glucagon-like transferase (GGT), albumin (ALB), globulin (GLO), serum total bilirubin (TBIL), direct bilirubin (DBIL),

Prothrombin activity

2. Hepatitis B Two-Pair- and-a-Half Test ... is also known as the Hepatitis B Five-Item Test. It is a preliminary test used to determine whether a person is infected with hepatitis B or to roughly estimate the level of viral replication. The Two-Pair-and-a-Half Test is not very useful for assessing the severity of the disease. For the sake of liver health, it is recommended that everyone go to the hospital for a hepatitis B two-pair-and-a-half test in their spare time.

3. Ultrasound examination

Through regular B-ultrasound examinations, we can understand the size and shape of the liver, the echo condition, the inner diameter of the portal vein, the thickness of the spleen, and the presence or absence of ascites. We can also determine whether the condition is turning into cirrhosis or whether space-occupying lesions have occurred.

HBV-DNA detection is an indicator for measuring the virus content in the blood, which mainly indicates the degree of infectivity and the speed of viral replication.
