Common side effects of oral niacinamide include nausea, diarrhea, headache, and dizziness. Less common side effects include allergic reactions, swelling and itching of the tongue, lips, and face. Other serious side effects include black blood in the stool, decreased vision, irregular heartbeat and muscle pain. Any severe symptoms should prompt medical attention.
