Cancer is the disease we least want to see. We all know that the treatment of cancer may not be the doctor's responsibility, but whether you can survive it. In fact, many bile duct cancers are delayed in treatment due to their own negative emotions. However, let us learn about several common causes of bile duct cancer. The risk factors for bile duct cancer include: (1) Hepatolithiasis Cholangiocarcinoma is closely related to hepatolithiasis. In areas where hepatolithiasis is common, the incidence of cholangiocarcinoma is also increased. The reason may be that the chronic stimulation of gallstones and inflammation causes erosion, ulceration and shedding of the bile duct epithelium, epithelial cell hyperplasia, and finally cholangiocarcinoma. In addition, gallstones cause obstruction, poor bile excretion, and local increase in bile acid in the bile, which also has a carcinogenic effect. (2) Congenital bile duct dilatation: This disease can easily cause reflux of pancreatic juice, stagnation of bile, and formation of stones, which are all risk factors for bile duct cancer. (3) Hepatitis virus infection When a person is infected with a hepatitis virus, the normal regulatory mechanism of the cell becomes disrupted, oncogenes are abnormally expressed, and cancer occurs. (4) Biliary adenoma Biliary adenoma is commonly found in the intrahepatic bile duct, among which villous adenoma is the most common, and about 63% of villous adenomas may undergo malignant transformation. (5) Patients who have undergone biliary surgery such as duodenal sphincterostomy or common choledochojejunostomy are more likely to develop bile duct cancer after surgery. This is mainly caused by the reflux of pancreatic and intestinal juices, bile stasis, stone formation, and stimulation from chronic inflammation. (6) In addition, cholangiocarcinoma is also associated with sclerosing cholangitis and parasitic infections (such as Clonorchis sinensis). How to prevent bile duct cancer: The incidence of bile duct cancer is increasing year by year, and it is difficult to truly prevent bile duct cancer at the primary level. Diseases such as chronic stones in the biliary system, chronic bile duct infection, cystic dilatation of the bile duct, and primary sclerosing cholangitis are closely related to bile duct cancer. Patients are strongly recommended to undergo regular follow-up to achieve early detection and early treatment of tumors, so as to improve the prognosis of the disease. |
