What are the causes of endometrial cancer

Experts point out that the incidence of endometrial cancer in adult women is high, but because people don’t know much about the symptoms of endometrial cancer, they usually wait until the pain symptoms of endometrial cancer become obvious before seeking medical treatment, which often causes great damage to the body. Most endometrial cancers can be detected early. Once the following causes are encountered and related symptoms appear, you must be highly vigilant.

What are the causes of endometrial cancer?

1. Long-term use of estrogen: Long-term use of estrogen by women can lead to endometrial cancer. The degree of risk is related to the dose, duration and whether the women stop taking estrogen during the period of use.

2. Diabetes: People with diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance have a 2.8 times higher risk of developing endometrial cancer than normal people. Clinical statistics show that about 10% of endometrial cancer patients suffer from diabetes.

3. Hypertension: Surveys have found that about one-third of endometrial cancer patients suffer from hypertension. The risk of endometrial cancer in hypertensive patients is 1.5 times that of the normal population.

4. Menstrual disorders: Among patients with endometrial cancer, those with menstrual disorders are three times more likely to have normal menstruation. Irregular menstruation in women is mostly caused by ovarian dysfunction, often accompanied by abnormal female hormone levels. This may be the cause of endometrial cancer in women.

5. Early menarche and late menopause: Early menarche and delayed menopause will extend the age of menstruation in women, which will also increase the risk of endometrial cancer in women.

6. Nulliparity: The number of times a woman has been pregnant and given birth is also related to the risk of endometrial cancer. Normal pregnancy and childbirth can not only maintain a woman's mental health, but also her physical health. Studies have found that endometrial cancer often occurs in women who have not given birth or suffer from infertility. Sixty percent of patients with the disease under the age of 40 are nulliparous. The risk of nulliparous women developing endometrial cancer is 2 to 3 times higher than that of multiparous women.

7. Certain gynecological diseases: If women suffer from diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome and functional ovarian tumors, their female hormone levels will be abnormal, causing long-term estrogen stimulation of the endometrium, thereby increasing their risk of endometrial cancer.

Warm reminder: Everyone knows that endometrial cancer is generally benign in the early stages, but it does not mean that there is no possibility of malignant transformation. Therefore, patients with endometrial cancer must be vigilant and receive treatment as soon as possible to avoid affecting their normal life.
