Causes of Endometrial Cancer

Causes of Endometrial Cancer

Endometrial cancer, also known as uterine body cancer, is a malignant tumor of the female reproductive organs and the most common female malignant tumor. The disease will not have any symptoms in the early stage, but in the middle and late stages, symptoms such as postmenopausal bleeding will occur. Due to the high incidence of the disease, female friends are eager to understand its basic knowledge, especially the causes of the disease. Let the experts introduce it below.

What are the causes of endometrial cancer?

The cause of endometrial cancer is still uncertain, but it is generally recognized that it is related to the long-term and continuous stimulation of the endometrium by estrogen. Its inducing factors include: infertility, delayed menopause; endometrial cancer triad (i.e., endometrial cancer coexists with obesity, hypertension, and diabetes); certain ovarian tumors can secrete estrogen and are prone to endometrial cancer; and those who use hormones for a long time in clinical practice. Endometrial cancer is closely related to atypical endometrial hyperplasia, both of which are caused by long-term stimulation by estrogen. The two lesions often exist at the same time, and some people with atypical endometrial hyperplasia can develop into endometrial cancer, so atypical endometrial hyperplasia is considered a precancerous lesion.

The diagnosis of endometrial cancer depends on endometrial biopsy, which is to take a little endometrium or scrape the endometrium for pathological examination. The diagnosis is "clear at a glance", and endometrial cancer is slow, metastatic, and the treatment effect is satisfactory. Currently, surgical resection is the main treatment, combined with radiotherapy and hormone therapy, which can achieve a cure rate of about 90%. And the efficacy is directly related to the early or late stage of cancer. Therefore, patients with irregular vaginal bleeding or watery leucorrhea should see a doctor as soon as possible, make a clear diagnosis, and strive to get cured as soon as possible.

Biological immunotherapy is the fourth method of treating tumors after surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. It has a significant effect in treating tumors and has attracted attention from all walks of life. It is the first choice for patients with advanced tumors.

Due to the high incidence and characteristics of the disease (there are no symptoms in the early stages), experts call on female friends to increase their awareness of it and develop the good habit of regular gynecological examinations, because once the disease is discovered, it is already in the middle or late stages, which will increase the difficulty of treatment and may also be life-threatening to the patient.
