What are the commonly used drugs for female endometrial cancer? Endometrial cancer is one of the most common gynecological diseases nowadays. It seriously harms the female uterus and can even cause infertility in unmarried women. Therefore, female friends must pay enough attention to it. Let's take a look at the treatment drugs and methods for endometrial cancer.

Hormone therapy

Young patients in the early stage who wish to preserve their fertility, patients with advanced cancer who cannot undergo surgery or patients with recurrent cancer can be treated with large doses of synthetic progestins, such as medroxyprogesterone acetate 400 mg, injected intramuscularly 2 to 3 times a week; progesterone acetate 500 mh, injected intramuscularly 2 to 3 times a week. The efficacy can be evaluated after at least 12 weeks.

Antiestrogens

The indications of tamoxifen are the same as those for progestin therapy. The general dose is 20-40 mg/d. It can be used orally for a long time or in divided courses.

Surgery

The preferred method is to perform extrafascial hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy on stage I patients, and extensive hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection on stage II patients. After surgery, the Chinese medicine Zhenqing Powder is taken to consolidate the therapeutic effect and prevent recurrence and metastasis.

Combined surgery and radiation therapy

For patients in stage I, if cancer cells are found in the ascites or cancer infiltrates the muscularis and lymph nodes and has metastasis, external beam radiotherapy is added after surgery. For patients in stage II or some stage III, external beam radiotherapy or intracavitary radiotherapy is added before surgery, and surgery is performed 1 to 2 weeks after the end of radiotherapy.

Radiation therapy

The elderly, frail patients, patients with severe medical complications who cannot tolerate surgery, and patients in stage III or above who are not suitable for surgery can receive radiotherapy, including intracavitary and external irradiation.

Anticancer chemotherapy

For advanced cases that are not suitable for surgery or radiotherapy or relapse after treatment, combined chemotherapy such as 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu), cyclophosphamide (CTX), mitomycin (MMC), doxorubicin (BDR), and cisplatin (DDP) can be used with certain effects.
