Is endometrial cancer hereditary?

Can endometrial cancer be passed on to the next generation? We all know that uterine cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in clinical practice, with a high incidence and great difficulty in treatment. Endometrial cancer does have hereditary cases, because genetic factors play a certain role in the occurrence of endometrial cancer.

Cancers that are closely related to genetics can be divided into two categories:

1. Hereditary cancer is a cancer that is completely determined by genetic genes. There are not many hereditary cancers. Common ones include Wilms tumor and retinoblastoma. They are all hereditary diseases determined by abnormal genes. 80-90% of people with these abnormal genes will suffer from this type of cancer.

2. "Cancer predisposition" type Although there is no genetic material basis for this type of cancer, there is an obvious genetic tendency, that is, "cancer predisposition". Many members of a family have "cancer predisposition". In some families, multiple generations or multiple people in one generation suffer from the same cancer, but they may not all develop into cancer, but there is a risk of developing into cancer. For example, familial colon polyps are likely to develop into colon cancer if not treated.

At present, the most effective treatment for endometrial cancer is biological immunotherapy, which uses biotechnology and biological preparations to culture and amplify immune cells collected from the patient in vitro and then return them to the patient to stimulate and enhance the body's own immune function, thereby achieving the purpose of treating endometrial cancer.

The above is a detailed introduction by experts on whether endometrial cancer can be inherited to the next generation. The harm that uterine cancer brings to women cannot be ignored. It not only affects the patient's quality of life and physical and mental health, but also endangers the patient's life at all times. We must take preventive measures against uterine cancer.
