When rectal cancer develops to a certain stage, it is very likely to metastasize to bladder cancer. Often, many people do not know this at this time. Bladder cancer is the most common cancer in the urinary system. It is most common in the side wall and back wall of the bladder, followed by the triangular area and the top. It can occur in multiple centers. So, what are the symptoms of rectal cancer metastases to bladder cancer? Experts have made the following introduction to the symptoms of rectal cancer metastases to bladder cancer: 1. Hematuria is the most common first symptom of bladder cancer. 85% of patients may experience recurrent painless intermittent macroscopic hematuria. The amount of bleeding may be more or less, and in severe cases, there may be blood clots. 100% of patients will experience hematuria sooner or later during the course of bladder cancer. About 68% of macroscopic hematuria is whole-course hematuria, 28% is terminal hematuria, and 4% is initial hematuria. 2. Difficulty in urination. About 7% of cases suffer from difficulty in urination, and even urine retention, due to the shedding of cancerous tissue, the tumor itself, or blood clots blocking the internal opening of the bladder. 3. Bladder irritation symptoms The infiltration of the tumor itself, ulceration of cancerous tissue, necrosis, infection and blood clots can all become irritants that cause the bladder muscles to contract and produce the urge to urinate; frequent urination (8%), urgency (8%), pain when urinating (5%) and persistent urge to urinate, persistent distending pain in the waist, and urinary incontinence when the tumor invades the sphincter. For patients with bladder irritation who lack evidence of infection, active and comprehensive examination measures should be taken to ensure early diagnosis. Those who have bladder irritation symptoms are generally a sign of a poor prognosis. 4. Lower abdominal mass is the first symptom in about 3%, mostly adenocarcinoma of the bladder top or other highly malignant solid bladder cancers. Rectal (or vaginal) digital examination or dissection of the uneven mass can be used to understand the extent and depth of tumor infiltration into the bladder wall, which is of certain help in the staging of the tumor. 5. Systemic symptoms include nausea, loss of appetite, fever, weight loss, anemia, weakness, cachexia, leukemoid reaction, etc. 6. Symptoms of upper urinary tract obstruction When cancer invades the ureteral orifice, it causes the renal pelvis and ureteral orifice to expand and accumulate water, or even become infected, causing varying degrees of backache, back pain, fever, etc. If both sides of the ureteral orifice are invaded, symptoms of acute renal failure may occur. |
