Will living with someone with bone cancer be contagious?

Is it contagious to live with someone who has bone cancer? We know that many malignant diseases are contagious, but the transmissibility of malignant tumors has never been confirmed. In fact, bone tumors, as a part of the skeletal system, can be affected by tumors from any tissue components or metastatic lesions from other parts, just like other parts. It is very difficult to treat and causes great pain to patients. Since bone tumors are so terrible, some people ask whether bone tumors are contagious? This question is unnecessary. Bone tumors are not infectious, so they are not contagious.

However, bone tumors are prone to metastasis, and complications are likely to occur in the later stages of the disease, including anemia and cachexia, and metastatic lesions to other sites, with lung metastasis being the most common. Therefore, once the disease occurs, it is important to actively receive treatment. At the same time, corresponding prevention and prognosis work should also be done during treatment:

The closer the tumor is to the trunk, the higher the mortality rate. It is difficult to determine the relationship between the type of tumor and the degree of vascularity and prognosis. The child's immune response to the tumor is also worth noting. Literature reports that some children with advanced tumors who underwent amputation surgery can survive for a long time, have no local recurrence after radiotherapy, and have miraculously dissipated lung metastasis. This may be related to the immune response, suggesting that the tumor cells that died after treatment have produced an immune effect.

The key factors affecting prognosis are early diagnosis, chemotherapy and radiotherapy before and after surgery. In addition, there are also the tissue type of tumor cells, tumor size, changes in serum alkaline phosphatase before and after surgery, and whether local lymph nodes are involved.
