What are the differences between brain tumors and brain cancer

Intracranial tumors, also known as brain tumors or cranial brain tumors, refer to tumors of the nervous system that occur in the cranial cavity, including tumors originating from the neuroepithelium, peripheral nerves, meninges, and germ cells, lymphatic and hematopoietic tissue tumors, craniopharyngiomas and granular cell tumors in the sella turcica, and metastatic tumors. What are the differences between brain tumors and brain cancer?

Brain cancer refers to a new growth in the cranial cavity, also known as an intracranial tumor. It can originate from the brain, meninges, nerves, blood vessels and brain appendages, or metastasize from other tissues or organs in the body and invade the skull. Most of them can cause headaches, intracranial hypertension and focal symptoms. The incidence of brain tumors is about 1.9 to 5.4 people per 100,000 people per year, accounting for 1% to 3% of all tumors in the body.
Tumors that grow in the skull are generally called brain tumors, including primary brain tumors that originate from the brain substance and secondary brain tumors that metastasize from other parts of the body to the skull. Primary brain tumors are divided into benign and malignant according to their biological characteristics. Benign brain tumors grow slowly, have a relatively complete capsule, do not infiltrate surrounding tissues, and are well differentiated; malignant brain tumors grow quickly, have no capsule, have unclear boundaries, grow in an infiltrative manner, and are poorly differentiated. Regardless of whether they are benign or malignant, they can squeeze and push normal brain tissue, causing increased intracranial pressure and threatening human life.
What are the differences between brain tumors and brain cancer? From the above understanding, we know that brain tumors include brain cancer.
