The best way to check for breast cancer

Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women. According to statistics, the incidence rate accounts for about 10% of all malignant tumors in the body. Its incidence is often related to genetics, and it is more common in women between the ages of 40 and 60 and before and after menopause. It is usually a malignant tumor that occurs in the breast glandular epithelial tissue, and male breast cancer is rare. What is the best way to check for breast cancer?

At present, the more mature imaging examination methods used in clinical diagnosis of breast diseases mainly include X-ray examination, ultrasound examination and MRI. Among them, breast X-ray examination is simple to operate, relatively cheap, and has a relatively accurate diagnosis. It has a high detection rate for calcification in the breast, especially for some ductal carcinoma in situ that only show tiny calcifications. However, it has a low sensitivity for diagnosing dense breast lesions, and dense breasts are a common cause of missed diagnosis of breast cancer by X-ray examination. Another disadvantage of breast X-ray examination is that it has radiation, so this examination cannot be performed frequently.

In order to detect breast cancer early, you should go to the hospital for regular physical examinations, and find suspicious lesions through doctor's examination, color Doppler ultrasound examination, and mammography examination. Which is better, color Doppler ultrasound or mammography? Many women get information from various channels, saying that "mammography is the best examination to detect breast cancer." Experts say that in fact, for most people, color Doppler ultrasound examination is the most suitable, especially for those under 45 years old. The younger you are, the less meaningful the mammography examination is.
