Pathological difference between gastric ulcer and gastric cancer

Facts have proved that there is a difference between pathological gastric ulcer and gastric cancer as long as careful observation is made. Age and course of disease Gastric ulcer is more common in young and middle-aged people. 90% of patients have upper abdominal pain, and the pain is cyclical. Each pain can last for several days, weeks or even months, and then it will be relieved for a certain period of time, and then it will recur, often lasting for many years. Gastric cancer is more common in middle-aged and elderly people over 40 years old, and early gastric cancer generally does not cause obvious discomfort.

However, once symptoms such as upper abdominal pain appear, they will progressively worsen, the disease progresses rapidly, and the course of the disease is short. In general, patients with gastric ulcers are in good condition, have a good appetite, respond well to drug treatment, rarely suffer from anemia, and have no enlarged lymph nodes throughout the body; while patients with gastric cancer have poor appetite, may have no appetite in the late stage, progressive weight loss throughout the body, and often have anemia. In the late stage, enlarged lymph nodes can be felt above the left clavicle, and sometimes a mass can be felt in the upper abdomen. Regularity of pain The pain of gastric ulcers is often closely related to diet, that is, it starts half an hour after a meal, the pain lasts for several hours, there is a burning sensation, and then gradually disappears until the above rhythm is found again after the next meal. Taking alkaline drugs can relieve pain.

The pain of gastric cancer is irregular and has nothing to do with eating. The pain may worsen or ease after eating. The nature of the pain is uncertain and may be dull or severe, often with a feeling of fullness. The pain worsens in the late stage and is mostly persistent, and cannot be relieved by taking alkaline drugs.
