What are the dangers of laryngeal cancer

What are the dangers of laryngeal cancer

Everyone wants to live longer, because only by living can we enjoy everything that life brings. However, many times, the occurrence of some diseases will bring certain threats to our lives. In fact, there are many causes of diseases such as laryngeal cancer. Generally, laryngeal cancer can cause symptoms such as nose bleeding. Therefore, we must treat laryngeal cancer in time. So what are the symptoms of laryngeal cancer?

1. Symptoms of unexplained nasal bleeding, excluding colds, fever, nasal trauma, nasal mucosal damage, nasal polyps, etc.;

2. Unilateral nasal congestion symptoms. The symptoms of nasal congestion are usually not obvious in the early stage. As the nasopharyngeal cancer grows, the symptoms of nasal congestion become progressively worse. Anti-cold treatment is ineffective and the disease can develop into bilateral symptoms.

3. Symptoms in one ear: Invasion of the ear by nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissue may cause pain, tinnitus, hearing loss and other symptoms, and invasion of the pharyngeal tube may cause otitis media;

4. Oral symptoms: patients may experience loose mouth closure on one side, drooling, and shallow nasolabial grooves, which are mostly caused by nasopharyngeal carcinoma invading cranial nerves;

5. Eye symptoms, such as decreased vision in one eye or seeing double, are related to nasopharyngeal carcinoma invading cranial nerves;

6. Headache symptoms. In the early stage, the pain is intermittent and the location is not fixed. In the late stage, the pain is aggravated and the location is fixed. Taking analgesics is ineffective. It is caused by nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissue invading or compressing cranial nerves.

7. Neck lumps. The lumps may be movable in the early stage and gradually become fixed in the later stage. They are mostly caused by lymph node metastasis.

1. Difficulty breathing. As the tumor deteriorates and grows in size at the primary site, it can directly block the trachea and affect breathing or make it difficult for tracheal secretions to be discharged, leading to difficulty breathing.

2. Hoarseness. Most laryngeal cancers originate in the patient's vocal cords. Even very small tumors can cause abnormal vibrations of the vocal cords and cause hoarseness. If you find unexplained hoarseness and the symptoms persist for three weeks without gradually improving, you should go to the hospital for a prompt checkup.

3. Inner ear pain. When laryngeal cancer develops to a certain extent, ulcers and severe inflammation will occur in the throat, which can cause reflex pain in the nerves. Early laryngeal cancer will not cause reflex pain. Reflex pain mainly occurs in patients with advanced supraglottic laryngeal cancer.

4. Blood in sputum. Because there are a large number of abnormal new blood vessels in the tumor, patients may find blood in their mucus or sputum after coughing. This is mainly seen in patients with advanced laryngeal cancer.

5. Pain in swallowing. Once the tumor develops to the late stage, it will cause a foreign body sensation in the throat or pain in swallowing. This type of symptom is often not obvious at the beginning of the disease, so patients and doctors need to be vigilant.

Warm reminder: We must actively learn about the occurrence of diseases such as laryngeal cancer. When laryngeal cancer occurs, it will cause many symptoms. We must actively treat such diseases!
