What factors affect the incidence of pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic cancer is a malignant disease that threatens human health. It has an insidious onset, rapid progression, and high mortality rate. It is the only digestive tract tumor with similar morbidity and mortality. Factors affecting its incidence may be related to age, region, race, gender, lifestyle, etc.

1. Relationship with age

The mortality rate of pancreatic cancer increases rapidly with age in all populations. The 1997 U.S. age-specific mortality rate showed that pancreatic cancer almost did not occur before the age of 30, increased exponentially between the ages of 30 and 80, peaked at the age of 80 to 84, and became unstable after the age of 85.

3. Relationship with gender

4. Relationship with the Region

The incidence of pancreatic cancer is high in Japan and some other developed countries, while the incidence is lowest in developing countries in Africa, Asia and South America.
