How much beer does it take for an average person to get drunk

Alcohol is now one of the most common drinks in social occasions, whether it is a class reunion, a casual restaurant, or a business occasion. However, although alcohol appears frequently, there are also many people who cannot drink well. Compared with red wine and white wine, beer has the lowest alcohol content. Most people will feel dizzy and drunk after drinking two bottles of beer. This article introduces some content about beer, let’s take a look.

10% beer will make most people drunk after 1.5 to 2 cups...

beer. Based on an alcohol concentration of 10%, the upper limit for men per day is 400 ml (about 2 cups, 200 ml per cup), and the upper limit for women per day is 300 ml (about 1.5 cups, 200 ml per cup).

Experts recommend that there should be an upper limit on the number of units of alcohol a person can consume per week, which should not exceed 21 and 14 units for men and women respectively. On average, men should not consume more than 4 units of alcohol per day, and women should not consume more than 3 units. In addition, make sure to go alcohol-free for at least two days each week.

However, almost no brand of wine will list the number of alcohol units in the whole bottle of wine. Generally, only the alcohol concentration is marked. So how do you calculate alcohol units? The following formula can help you find the answer: alcohol concentration indicated on the bottle (just the number) × the amount you drink (in liters) = alcohol units (approximately). For example, a can of 330 ml beer with an alcohol content of 5% contains approximately 5×0.33=1.65 alcohol units; a bottle of 750 ml red wine or white wine with an alcohol content of 12% contains approximately 12×0.75=9 alcohol units. From this we can see that drinking two cans of beer, or 2/3 of a bottle of red wine or white wine in a day is the upper limit of daily alcohol intake.

So, before every drink, especially during the Spring Festival when there are more social events, you might as well make a budget according to this formula:

beer. Based on an alcohol concentration of 5%, the upper limit for men per day is 800 ml (about 2.5 cans, 330 ml per can); the upper limit for women per day is 600 ml (about 2 cans, 330 ml per can).
