It is worth mentioning that since Chinese people are not used to dry wine and prefer sweet wine, many people just add more sugar, which is not the regular method of making dry red wine.

2. Conventional sugar adding method. We tasted the sweetness of the grapes and felt that they were just average. We thought that the sugar content was close to 14 degrees. If we squeezed the grapes with our hands, the juice would be sticky after it dried a little, so we thought that the sugar content was close to 17 degrees. So the formula for adding sugar is:

For example: For example, we feel that the sugar content of grapes is 14 degrees (14 grams/100 ml), and we expect the final alcohol content of the wine to be 13 degrees. The amount of sugar added is: sugar added to 1 liter of grape juice = 221-(14/100)*1000=81 grams.

3. How much sugar should be added to homemade wine?

Accurate instrumental determination of sugar addition method. At this time we have to rely on a relative density meter and a table. By measuring the sugar content in grape juice with a relative density meter, you can look up the table to get the amount of sugar that needs to be added according to the precision of the wine you need to brew. For example, if we measure the sugar content to be 1.055 and expect to get a wine with a degree of 14, then the sugar added is 108 grams per liter. This is a precise way to make wine.
