How to clean the ink after a long time

Although the frequency of using fountain pens is getting lower and lower in life, there are still fountain pen calligraphy courses in many schools. Many children accidentally drop ink on their clothes, which is a headache for mothers. Cleaning ink stains is not easy, and it is difficult to remove them with ordinary laundry detergent. It is not worth it to throw away the dirty clothes, so it is necessary to learn the correct way to clean ink stains. Let’s take a look together below!

1. Add salt to rice

If the ink on the clothes has just been dropped, you should wash it off with cold water while it is still wet. For the remaining parts that have not been washed clean, you can use rice or rice porridge with a little salt to rub the ink stains, which can make it easier to wash off.

2. Add alcohol to washing powder

If ink accidentally gets on your clothes, you can first wash them with laundry detergent or dishwashing liquid. If it cannot be cleaned thoroughly, you can use medicinal alcohol to scrub them and finally rinse them with clean water. This will usually remove the ink.

3. Washing powder and toothpaste

Apply toothpaste to the ink-stained areas of the clothes, then rub them with clean water. Do not rinse off the toothpaste, just add some clean water to facilitate rubbing. Then add detergent and rub them again, and finally rinse them with clean water.

4. Washing powder with glycerin

First soak the part of the clothes stained with ink in clean water, and then add laundry detergent or dishwashing liquid to scrub. If it still cannot be cleaned, you can apply a layer of glycerin. After the glycerin is fully combined with the ink-stained area, soak and scrub it with warm soapy water.

5. Soap and milk

First heat the milk until it is warm, then soak the area stained with ink in the warm milk. After 10 minutes, scrub it with your hands. If it cannot be washed clean, you can apply some soap and scrub it again to remove the ink from the clothes.

6. Soap and alcohol

If the ink stains on clothes are old, you can use a solution made of 1 part alcohol and 2 parts soap and rub it repeatedly, which can also have a better effect in removing the ink marks.
