Tips on how to open a wine bottle cork

Drinking red wine properly before going to bed every night can effectively treat insomnia, increase body heat, and solve the cold at night. However, many people have trouble opening red wine. Although red wine tastes good, the cork is difficult to open. Opening red wine is actually not that complicated. It is easy as long as you have the skills.

How to open wine correctly

Steps/Methods

Use a knife to cut off the seal along the protruding circle at the mouth of the bottle. The place to cut the lead seal can be the convex part above the bottleneck, or below the convex part. This way, the wine can be prevented from contacting the lead seal when pouring. The mouth of the bottle will usually be dirty, especially if the wine has been aged in the cellar for some time, so it must be wiped with a clean white napkin.

Insert the spiral of the corkscrew into the center of the cork and turn it slowly. If you use a butterfly-shaped corkscrew, when the spiral gradually enters the cork, the handles on both sides will gradually rise. When the handles reach the top, gently pull them down and push the cork out.

Flip the handle down so that the claw on the other end grips the mouth of the bottle, then slowly lift the handle to pull the cork out.

After pulling out the cork, check whether the cork is moist. If it is moist, it means that the bottle of wine has been stored in the correct way, so the possibility of deterioration will be greatly reduced. In addition, you should further smell the cork to see if there is any peculiar smell.

When opening a bottle, if the cork breaks, use a "clip-type corkscrew" to clip out the cork.

Precautions

The corkscrew's spiral iron cone pulls up the cork smoothly and slowly to avoid damaging the wine during the opening process.

The iron cone must not penetrate the cork, otherwise the cork chips will fall into the wine.

Opening the bottle a few hours before drinking will improve the quality, especially for red wine, which will become rounder, smoother and easier to drink.

Choosing the right corkscrew, an inappropriate corkscrew or clumsy corkscrew skills can ruin the cork.
