Sharing successful experience of needle insemination

Wanting to be a parent is the wish of almost every man and woman. However, in real life, due to various reasons, people with infertility always experience the pain and helplessness of repeated failed conception on the road to realizing their dreams. With the continuous development of science and technology, there are more and more methods to treat infertility, among which artificial insemination is a very important one. Many couples finally realized their dreams through this method.

1. Successful experience of artificial insemination

1. The sperm donor must undergo a comprehensive examination, including hepatitis B surface antigen, blood type, and exclusion of other infectious diseases. His appearance and intelligence should also be understood. After the semen of the same sperm donor has caused five pregnancies, it cannot be used again to avoid the possibility of their offspring intermarrying.

2. If the woman has systemic diseases or infectious diseases, severe reproductive organ hypoplasia or deformity, or severe cervical erosion, she cannot undergo artificial insemination.

3. A detailed gynecological examination is required for infertile women undergoing artificial insemination. If all the examinations are normal, then the conditions for artificial insemination are met. Then you need to estimate the day of ovulation to choose the best time for insemination.

Before the woman's estimated ovulation period, the sperm donor or the husband masturbates to extract semen, which needs to be tested. If the results show that the semen density and activity are normal, wait for the semen to liquefy and then use a syringe or catheter to inject the semen into the vagina, around the cervix and into the cervical canal. The woman should rest in bed for 2-3 hours to prevent semen from being discharged.

2. Applicable situations for artificial insemination

1. Artificial insemination is mainly used for infertility caused by male factors, such as severe hypospadias, retrograde ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, azoospermia, oligospermia, asthenospermia, and semen liquefaction disorder.

2. Artificial insemination can also be used for some female-related infertility, such as vaginismus, small cervix, abnormal cervical mucus, poor post-coital test, etc.

3. In addition, there are some special cases, such as infertility due to immunological reasons, where both husband and wife are heterozygous for the same chromosomal dominant genetic disease or the male suffers from an autosomal dominant genetic disease, artificial insemination can also be used to achieve pregnancy and avoid the birth of unhealthy offspring.

3. Artificial insemination method

Women who undergo artificial insemination should take the lithotomy position (lying on their back with their thighs apart and bent), slightly raise their buttocks, disinfect the vulva, use a vaginal speculum to expose the cervix, and wipe off the mucus around the cervix with a sterile cotton ball. Then use a 2 ml dry sterilized syringe, install a special long needle (the needle is 10-12 cm long, has a 150-degree bend, and the tip of the needle is burned into a small ball) to absorb 1 ml of liquefied semen, insert the needle into the cervical canal 05-0.8 cm, slowly push the semen into the cervical canal, and spread the excess semen around the outside of the cervix and the posterior fornix. Remove the speculum and lie supine for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Artificial insemination can be performed three times in each menstrual cycle, and antibiotics should be given within 24-48 hours after each insemination to prevent infection.
