How much pelvic fluid is normal?

Everyone must be familiar with the disease of pelvic effusion, which is a common gynecological disease in clinical practice. There are many causes of this disease, which are mainly divided into two categories: physiological factors and pathological factors. For example, some women do not pay attention to personal hygiene during menstruation, which can easily cause pelvic effusion. So, under normal circumstances, how much pelvic effusion should a woman have?

How much pelvic fluid is normal?

Since the pelvic area is at the bottom of the abdominal cavity, when female friends suffer from pelvic inflammatory disease or other inflammatory diseases, there will be exudate or leaking fluid. These fluids will be drained into the female pelvic area, resulting in the occurrence of pelvic effusion. During the examination, the doctor will judge the severity of the patient's condition based on the normal standards of effusion. So what is the normal range of pelvic effusion?

What is the normal range of pelvic effusion?

We all know that there will be some fluid accumulation in the body. As long as the value of the fluid accumulation is within 10mm, it is within the normal range of pelvic effusion. The situation within 10mm is physiological pelvic effusion. When a female friend's body is menstruating or just a few days after the menstruation, it is possible that some menstrual blood will flow back along the fallopian tube to the pelvic area. During the ultrasound examination, a small amount of fluid accumulation will be seen. Or after the female friend ovulates, the follicular fluid will be drained to the pelvic area along with the ruptured follicles. Under normal circumstances, the amount of fluid accumulation is relatively small. If it is one of these two situations of pelvic effusion, there is no need for special treatment, and it will not harm the female friend's body. Most of them can disappear naturally.

There will normally be a small amount of fluid accumulation in the pelvic area, which mainly reduces the friction between the visceral peritoneum and the parietal peritoneum. Sometimes exudation will occur due to inflammation, and the fluid accumulation will exceed the normal range. Medication can be used to reduce inflammation so that the fluid can be naturally absorbed, which is effective in treating pelvic effusion.

What is the normal range of pelvic effusion? Under normal circumstances, the range of pelvic effusion will not exceed 10mm. This situation is physiological pelvic effusion. If it exceeds 10mm, it is pathological pelvic effusion and needs to be treated under the guidance of a doctor. If there is effusion within 10mm during ovulation or early pregnancy, generally no treatment is required and it will disappear naturally after one to two months.
