How to apply eye ointment into the eyelid

Applying eye ointment is a bit complicated, but there is a simple way. First pull your eyelids apart and apply the eye ointment around the edges of your eyes. Be careful to keep the bottle mouth clean, otherwise it will cause contamination. Be very careful and try not to touch your eyes with your hands, as this is very unhygienic. There are a lot of bacteria on the hands, which can easily lead to bacterial growth in the eyes. Whatever method you use, just apply it. Just choose the method that suits you best.

The correct method is: use one hand to gently press down on the lower eyelid, press and pull it down, and the eyelid will naturally turn outward. Then look in the mirror, look slightly upward, and use the other hand to apply the squeezed erythromycin eye ointment to the edge of the eye. It is a bit like the feeling when applying eyeliner. It is important to be careful not to let the eyelashes touch the mouth of the eye ointment bottle to contaminate the medicine.

Guidance:

You can use a medical cotton swab to apply the eye ointment and then apply it on the edge of the eye. Usually apply it before going to bed.

If so, you should apply erythromycin eye ointment inside your eyes before going to bed at night, and use eye drops to reduce inflammation during the day. If there is no improvement after a few days, go to the hospital for a follow-up check.

Apply it on the white corner of the eye, then roll your eyeball.

Guidance:

Of course, if you can open your eyelids, you can apply the eye ointment on your eyelids, but it is more troublesome. The simplest way is to apply it on the white of the eyeball at the corner of the eye and spread it evenly by rotating your eyes.

Eye ointment is to be applied inside the eye. How to use: Use your fingers to gently pull down the lower eyelid (i.e. the lower eyelid) to expose the red lower eyelid conjunctiva (the red part of the inner surface of the eyelid), apply the eye ointment into the lower conjunctival sac (the socket between the lower eyelid and the white of the eyeball), and gently close your eyes. Keep your hands clean when using medication.

Considering conjunctivitis, it needs to be applied inside the eyelid. Erythromycin eye ointment should be used for anti-inflammatory purposes. Usage: Apply inside the eyelids, 2 to 3 times a day, the last application should be before going to bed. How to do it: First wash your hands and glasses. Prepare a tissue and place it within reach, lie on your back, gently lift your upper eyelid with one hand, and use the other hand to squeeze a small amount of ointment into your glasses. Immediately cover the entire glasses with your upper eyelid to wrap the ointment inside so that it can take full effect. After a few minutes, I found a tissue and wiped off the seepage from my glasses. I slowly opened my glasses and my vision was a little blurry and uncomfortable, but it got better soon. If you need to apply medicine to both glasses, it is recommended to apply medicine to each eye twice to avoid the feeling of poor vision in both eyes at the same time.
