How to care for glioma

How to care for glioma

Glioma is an intracranial tumor. If it is not treated properly, it will not only have a serious impact on the patient's daily life, but also threaten the patient's life in severe cases. Therefore, active treatment and perfect care are essential. So, how to care for glioma?

1. Provide enthusiastic care and guidance to glioma patients, do a good job in psychological rehabilitation, eliminate patients' refusal to treat and despair, increase their confidence in overcoming the disease, transform the negative psychological state into a positive and proactive treatment state, thereby enhancing immune function.

2. Protect the airway from obstruction, clear secretions promptly, give oxygen regularly, and use a high-pressure oxygen chamber to give oxygen if conditions permit.

3. Try to avoid coughing, sneezing, and retching, and make sure your bowel movements are smooth.

4. For severe vomiting, attention should be paid to the administration of energy mixture and Shengmai injection; for those who are bedridden for a long time, attention should be paid to the care of bedsores.

5. During radiotherapy, the patient's condition should be closely monitored and attention should be paid to the occurrence of cerebral edema and brain herniation.

6. During critical illness, you should pay attention to adjusting the body position. When there is no shock, you can raise the head of the bed 15-30 degrees. Do not twist the neck or compress the chest to facilitate intracranial venous flow.

7. The principle of eating is to eat foods that are rich in protein and easy to digest, eat more vegetables and fruits, and avoid eating fatty and sweet foods. This is one aspect of dietary care for brain glioma.

After the above introduction, I believe everyone has a new understanding of the aspects that need to be paid attention to in the daily care of glioma patients. I hope it will be of some help to glioma patients, reduce their pain, cure glioma as soon as possible, and enjoy a healthy life.
