1. Cut out the oval outer fabric and lining fabric as shown below.

3. Draw a line along the black dotted line with a water-erasable pen, then sew the outer fabric and the lining together along the dotted line with the zipper sandwiched in the middle.

4. Use scissors to cut teeth at the two rounded corners.

Materials preparation:

1. Surface fabric: 15 inches

Production steps:

1. Overlap the outer fabric, quilting and lining together like a sandwich. If you want the fabric and the quilting to bond better, you can use collodion and iron the fabric. The quilting will then bond the fabric and prevent it from sliding. If you know how to quilt freely, you can use free curve pressing to create a concave and convex pressing effect.

2. Place the zipper on one side of the sandwich fabric you just prepared.

3. In the picture below, a white line is drawn on the zipper, which is the location of the stitching. Note that the zipper and the surface fabric of the sandwich are facing each other. Sew a straight line at the white line to fix the zipper and the cloth together, and then bring the other side of the zipper and the other side of the sandwich together to form a cloth duct. Sew the other side of the zipper to the other side of the fabric.

4. Turn the sewn fabric duct over to the front and check the position of the zipper metal buckle.

5. Turn the sewn piping over to the wrong side, which is the side of the lining, and draw a line 1/2 inch on both sides as the sewing line as shown in the figure below.

6. After sewing, turn it over to the front and a flat zipper bag is ready. It can be used as a pencil bag or eye bag.

7. Turn the zipper bag inside out again, pinch the four corners of the bag and secure them with a beading pin, then draw a line at the same position and then sew a straight line on the corner.

8. Use a pair of scissors or a wheel cutter to cut off the excess fabric 1/2 inch outside the straight line.

9. Now turn it over again, and you will find that the flat zipper bag has turned into a square three-dimensional zipper bag.
