Why does it hurt above my right buttock?

Why does it hurt above my right buttock?

The upper part of the buttocks is also our most delicate part, which may be related to the structure of the pelvis. If there is pain in the upper part of the buttocks, it is mainly due to the incorrect sitting posture for a long time, or because of cyst inflammation and other problems, which can cause pain in the upper part of the buttocks. You need to pay special attention to it in normal times, and choose the appropriate method to slowly adjust it.

Buttocks "Callus"

reason:

"Calluses" on the buttocks refer to hard lumps growing on the buttocks and causing dull pain, which are sciatic tuberosity cysts. It turns out that the bones of the human buttocks are made up of the pelvis, among which the ischium is an important component of the pelvis. The ischium can be divided into two branches, upper and lower, and the place where the two bones meet is the ischial tuberosity. When a person takes a sitting position, the ischial tuberosity is in contact with the surface of the stool. There is a bursa at the top of the ischial tuberosity, which can secrete fluid to reduce friction and pressure between tissues. However, as the elderly age, the bursa undergoes degenerative changes and fluid secretion decreases. Working at a desk for a long time or sitting cross-legged for a long time can easily cause the ischial tuberosity to collide with the stool. In addition, long-term unreasonable friction, squeezing, weight-bearing and trauma will lead to traumatic bursitis over time. This type of bursitis mostly occurs on one side of the ischium, which may be related to the imbalance of sitting force. After bursitis occurs, the bursa becomes congested, swollen, and the serous exudate increases. If the accumulated fluid persists for a long time, it will become viscous, turbid, and contain cellulose, leading to adhesion. At this time, the bursa wall thickens, the synovial surface becomes rough, and finally, a cyst is formed.

Countermeasures:

Improve seating. If you are used to sitting on wooden chairs or hard benches, you can change to sitting on a rattan chair or sofa, or you can place a thicker sponge pad or cloth pad on the hard seat to reduce the friction and resistance of the hard seat on the ischial tuberosity.

5. Muscle soreness

reason:

Billions of cells in the human body rely on blood transportation to complete their metabolic functions. Sitting for a long time can reduce the amount of oxygen-carrying blood in the body, lower the oxygen partial pressure, and increase the amount of carbon dioxide-carrying blood, increase the carbon dioxide partial pressure, causing muscle soreness, stiffness, and atrophy.

Countermeasures:

Medical experts recommend that people who need to sit for long periods of time due to work should not sit for more than 8 hours at a time. They should engage in activities for about 10 minutes every 2 hours at work, such as walking freely or doing exercises.

6. Loss of appetite

reason:

Sitting for a long time without whole body exercise will weaken gastrointestinal motility and reduce the secretion of digestive juices. Over time, symptoms such as loss of appetite, indigestion and abdominal distension will appear.

The normal daily food intake of sedentary people accumulates in the gastrointestinal tract, which increases the gastrointestinal burden. The long-term tense peristalsis cannot be relieved. In the long run, it can cause chronic and difficult to cure diseases such as gastric and duodenal bulb ulcer perforation and bleeding.

Countermeasures:

Develop a "plant-based" eating habit. Eat more dried beans, seaweed, underground roots (stems), fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits. The rich dietary fiber contained in it can promote intestinal peristalsis, shorten the time for food to pass through, reduce the chance of harmful substances contained in food to break through the intestinal mucosa, and can also absorb and take away some harmful substances, reducing toxicity.
