What to do if a bulge appears after squeezing a pimple

Having pimples on the face is the most annoying thing. It comes and goes over and over again. Some people can't help scratching or squeezing them with their hands, but this can easily cause acne scars. If the squeezing method is not correct, it can also cause hyperplasia of skin tissue and the appearance of raised small lumps, which further affects the skin texture. The skin is uneven and ugly, but it is also difficult to repair. So what should you do if you get raised lumps after squeezing pimples?

Acne scars are formed due to infection, inflammation or external force. This is often because acne is not treated promptly and appropriately when it occurs. The inflammatory response of skin cells causes damage to the skin tissue, resulting in scars. Due to the variety of types of acne, there are also many forms of acne scars. The more severe the inflammatory reaction during an acne attack, the more severe the skin tissue is damaged. The deeper the inflamed area, the deeper the skin tissue is damaged, and the more severe the acne scars that may be left in the future will be.

Types of acne scars: Acne scars can be mainly divided into two types: spots (i.e. acne marks) and scars (depressions or protrusions).

The scars on your skin that have become fleshy lumps are hypertrophic convex scars. The treatment methods that can be used for hypertrophic convex scars are:

1. Local subcutaneous injection: For keloids and hypertrophic scars, the drug injection is directly injected into the subcutaneous part of the acne scar for treatment. The main ingredient of this drug is steroids, which can fight inflammation and dissolve inflamed tissue. This is currently the simplest and most effective treatment for hypertrophic scars. Although acne scars can gradually soften and become flat after several injection treatments, the pigmentation of the scar tissue cannot be reduced, so there will still be certain traces after healing, and the appearance of normal skin cannot be completely restored.

2. Laser and other light therapies such as dye laser: have a smoothing effect on hypertrophic scars.

Some things to note when treating acne scars:

1. No matter what kind of acne scar you are treating, you must first cure the acne so that it does not grow again. Otherwise, if you are treating acne scars while new acne is appearing, you will not be able to achieve the best results.

2. Applying a facial mask can also help with the recovery of acne scars. On the one hand, the mask can increase the surface temperature of the skin, produce a self-circulation effect on the face, and help even out the skin tone. At the same time, the repair nutrients contained in the mask can be better absorbed by the underlying skin. On the other hand, frequently applying a facial mask can help accelerate skin metabolism and help the skin repair itself.

3. During the pulse light treatment, it can be combined with fruit acid treatment and L-C introduction. How to combine them depends on the skin condition at that time. Pulsed light has an improving effect on the treatment of pigmentation, especially red spots, because pulsed light has the function of eliminating microvessels. However, since the depth of proliferation of microvessels in the skin varies, the skin will become lighter after each treatment, and multiple treatments are required.

4. After treatment, you must first pay attention to sun protection. A large amount of ultraviolet exposure can cause pigmentation on your skin during the recovery period, making acne scars darker and lasting longer. Therefore, it is not advisable to engage in outdoor activities for too long.

5. After completing the medical beauty treatment, the most important thing is the post-treatment maintenance. Only by doing the correct maintenance can the treatment effect be maintained for a long time.

6. In terms of food, you can supplement some foods that can help even out skin tone and accelerate skin healing, such as:

Lily, mung bean, white fungus, lotus seeds, coix seeds, etc. all have the effect of clearing heat and evening out the skin. Nuts include almonds, walnuts, sesame seeds, etc. Vegetables and fruits containing vitamin C and vitamin A, such as broccoli, cabbage, green vegetables, tomatoes, lemons, strawberries, kiwis, etc.
