What to do when joints are painful due to cold

A joint is a structure composed of bones in the human body, such as the knees, ankles, wrists, etc. Any place with bones can be called a joint. The elderly have weaker body resistance and their bones are relatively fragile. Cold and flu is a disease that causes discomfort all over the body and joint pain when it rains or is cloudy. The joints are very easy to cause cold and flu. So what should you do if your joints are painful due to cold and flu?

Rheumatoid arthritis is an allergic disease and one of the main manifestations of rheumatic fever. It usually starts with acute fever and joint pain. The typical manifestations are mild or moderate fever and migratory polyarthritis. The affected joints are mostly large joints such as the knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, and wrists. It is common for the disease to spread from one joint to another. The lesions are locally red, swollen, burning, and extremely painful. Some patients also have several joints affected at the same time. Atypical patients only have joint pain without other inflammatory manifestations. Acute inflammation generally subsides in 2-4 weeks without leaving sequelae, but it often recurs. If rheumatic activity affects the heart, myocarditis may occur and even residual heart valve disease may occur. Joint pain is the main symptom of rheumatoid arthritis patients and is also one of the most painful symptoms for patients.

Note: 1. Joint immobilization: In the acute phase, the joints should be placed in a resting position and movement should be reduced.

2. Local massage: After the joint pain is relieved, you can massage around the joints by yourself.

3. Joint gymnastics exercises: Practice different joint gymnastics for different joints, 30 minutes each time, 2-3 times a day.

① Joint fumigation with medicine: prepare medicine for joint fumigation and wash. The water temperature should be kept at around 50℃, once a day, each time for 20 minutes.

② Warm water bath for joints: Soak the affected joints or the entire limb in warm water for about 20 minutes, once a day.

Arthritis pain is a very uncomfortable feeling. This is because people do not pay attention to details in their daily lives, causing their joints to suffer a certain degree of damage. Therefore, people must pay attention to their living habits, diet, etc. in their daily lives. If the wind is strong, be sure to dress warmly so you don't catch a cold.
