How to wash clothes with egg shells

Eggshells play a wide range of roles in our daily lives. In addition to treating stomach problems and achieving a certain calcium supplement effect, eggshells can also be used to wash clothes. For example, you can crush the eggshells, put them in a thin cloth bag, put them in a basin, add hot water to soak for a while, and then start washing clothes. The clothes will come out whiter. The reason why this effect can be achieved is mainly because the main component of eggshells is calcium carbonate, which can produce calcium hydroxide at higher temperatures, and the eggshell has a certain alkalinity and has a good decontamination effect.

Can egg shells be used to wash clothes? Yes. Crush the eggshells, put them in a thin cloth bag, put them in a basin, add hot water and soak them for about 5 minutes. Then use this water to wash clothes and they will be exceptionally white and clean. Generally, water soaked with five egg shells can wash seven or eight pieces of clothing.

How to wash clothes with egg shells 1. Crush the egg shells, put them into a thin cloth bag or stockings, put them in a basin and soak them in hot water for 5 minutes, then take them out and use this water to wash clothes, which will be extra white.

2. Crush the eggshells into powder, put them into a ceramic container, thermos, or glass bottle, add some clean water, and shake it left and right to remove the scale. If the oil stain is serious, fill it with water after putting in the eggshell and leave it for 1 to 2 days, shaking it a few times.

The principle of washing clothes with egg shells

The main component of eggshell is calcium carbonate. Under relatively high temperature conditions, calcium carbonate can easily decompose into carbon dioxide and calcium hydroxide. The calcium hydroxide is alkaline and has strong decontamination ability, so it can wash clothes clean.

Formation process: The mature follicle enters the fallopian tube, and the protein secreted by the fallopian tube wraps the yolk, which then gradually descends to form the inner and outer shell membranes, and finally reaches the uterus, where the eggshell is formed. The basic component of eggshell is CaC03, which accounts for about 95-98%, and the rest is protein. The CO2 produced by the uterus's own metabolism combines with water to form H2CO3 under the action of carbonic anhydrase. H2CO3 dissociates to produce CO32-, which combines with Ca in the blood to form CaC03. CaCO3 is evenly deposited on the eggshell membrane to form a hard eggshell.

Eggshell can reduce acidity and relieve pain. It can be ground into powder and applied externally to stop bleeding from external injuries and to consolidate and astringe. Grinded eggshells can be taken orally to treat acid reflux caused by gastric ulcers, pain from gastritis, and is beneficial for calcium supplementation (calcium foods). The thin skin lining the eggshell has the effect of nourishing yin and moistening dryness, moistening the lungs and relieving cough, and is suitable for dry cough caused by wind. Egg yolk has many applications in folk medicine, such as external use for treating chapped nipples and skin ulcers on lower limbs. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that egg yolk has the function of nourishing blood, nourishing yin and improving intelligence, and is used to treat insufficient blood in the heart, insomnia and fever.
