The differences between turmeric and ginger mainly lie in color, shape, origin, function and habits.

2. Shape: Turmeric is usually in the shape of long and thin strips, and although ginger is also in the shape of thin strips, it has many side branches and is usually irregular in shape.

3. Origin: Turmeric is mainly produced in Taiwan and Guangdong, my country, while ginger is mainly produced in tropical areas of Southeast Asia.

4. Habits: Turmeric prefers warm and humid environment with sufficient sunlight and fertile and loose soil, while ginger prefers warm and humid climate, is afraid of direct sunlight, and has weak cold resistance.

5. Effect: Turmeric is good at promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis and relieving pain. Proper consumption of turmeric can also play a role in delaying aging. Ginger enters the spleen and stomach meridians, and is more inclined to harmonize the stomach, reduce adverse reactions and stop vomiting. For symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and excessive phlegm caused by cold and dampness, the improvement effect of using ginger will be better.
