We often suffer from heart failure because we love someone but cannot get him/her back. The pain is indescribable. So what is heart failure in medicine? We all know that patients with heart failure cannot be subjected to too strong stimulation. At the same time, the psychology of patients with heart failure is actually very fragile and requires our careful care. So how do we care for patients with heart failure? In fact, this requires not only physiological knowledge, but also psychological knowledge. What is heart failure? Heart failure, also known as HF, is a group of clinical syndromes caused by various abnormalities in cardiac structure or function leading to poor ventricular filling and/or ejection function. The main symptoms are dyspnea, fatigue, and fluid retention. Heart failure is the most common cardiovascular disease and has the greatest impact on patients' health. Nursing plays a leading role in the treatment and recovery process of patients with heart failure. How to care: 1. Psychological care Because long-term hospitalization seriously affects the quality of life of patients with heart failure and easily causes patients to experience negative emotions such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, etc., nursing staff should guide patients to learn to relax themselves. 2. Exercise and rest care Patients with mild heart failure can rest in bed appropriately and are advised to reduce physical activity as much as possible. Patients with severe heart failure must rest in bed, mostly in a semi-recumbent position. In severe cases, the legs can be hung down to ease venous blood return, reduce pulmonary congestion and the burden on the heart. People who rest in bed for a long time may develop pressure sores, osteoporosis, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis of the lower limbs, disuse muscle atrophy of the lower limbs, slowed gastrointestinal motility, etc. Therefore, they should turn over regularly and strengthen skin care. 3. Infection care Pay attention to prevent colds, take good oral care, and prevent infection. 4. Medication care Instruct patients to take medications as directed by their doctor to avoid patients increasing or decreasing the dosage or stopping medications on their own. Observe drug efficacy, adverse reactions and precautions. 5. Close observation The condition of patients with heart failure fluctuates greatly, so the patient's vital signs and the correction of the clinical manifestations of heart failure should be monitored in real time to provide effective information for judging the condition and modifying the treatment plan. 6.Diet care Patients should choose foods that are low in calories, high in protein, rich in vitamins and easily digestible, limit sodium salt intake according to their condition, quit smoking and drinking, avoid consuming irritating foods, and avoid drinking large amounts of water. |
