What is the cause of headache and dizziness

Headache and dizziness are common symptoms in our daily life. There are many causes of headache and dizziness, including physiological dizziness and headache, as well as dizziness and headache caused by organic diseases. If the symptoms of dizziness and headache are severe, you must go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. If they are caused by mental stress or other reasons, you must emphasize health care.

1. Vasoconstriction increases tension

Headaches may be caused by irritation of the meninges, which causes blood vessels to constrict and increase tension. It may also be a signal from the brain reminding us that there is insufficient oxygen and that more oxygen is needed. As long as blood containing a lot of oxygen flows to the painful area, the headache will disappear immediately. However, we must find out what causes the headache before we can solve the problem.

2. Physical factors:

Various causes of inflammation and injury inside and outside the skull can cause headaches; compression by tumors that causes vascular traction, stretching, displacement, and expansion; irritation of the meninges; muscle contraction; direct stimulation of the sensory nerves that control the head and face, etc.

3. Neuropsychiatric factors:

When the body and mind are adversely stimulated by the external environment, emotions such as worry and anxiety often arise, leading to the onset of migraines. According to a survey, 84% of depression patients suffer from migraine symptoms. At the same time, when encountering various unpleasantness in life or work, or intense emotional stimulation such as anger, anxiety, excitement, etc., you will feel general discomfort and migraine.

4. Dietary factors:

Drinking too much coffee can dilate blood vessels and stimulate nerves to cause migraines; eating too cold ice cream can also cause headaches; drinking too much alcohol can also cause headaches when the ethanol in the alcohol acts on the blood vessels.

These are all headaches caused by improper diet. Experts have calculated that the foods that are likely to induce headaches are: chocolate, alcoholic beverages, raw dairy products, lemon juice, cheese, and red wine.

5. When you have a cold

There may be accompanying symptoms of dizziness. Some women sometimes confuse blood deficiency with a cold because both have symptoms of fatigue, dizziness, and stuffiness. Blood deficiency is likely to occur during pregnancy, and people with anemia also often have this problem. However, I would like to remind you that dizziness is not exclusive to women, men can also experience it. Of course, it is true that women suffer from dizziness more frequently.
