How do multiple liver cysts form?

Multiple liver cysts are a common symptom, which are very harmful to the patient's health and can seriously damage the liver function. In daily life, patients should eat less spicy and high-fat foods, have a reasonable diet, and maintain a regular life. There are many causes of multiple hepatic cysts, such as bile duct disease, liver damage and congenital factors.

1. Cysts caused by bile duct disease

Bile duct disease may cause more than one disease, but liver cyst is definitely one of them. Bile duct lesions mainly include edema or inflammation problems, which can lead to bile retention and may also cause such lesions. Liver cysts caused by this type of problem are usually single cysts. If the bile duct ruptures due to contusion or other problems, there will be a lot of bile or even blood in the cyst, which is also a symptom of the cyst.

2. Liver damage causes cysts

This is very similar to bile duct contusion. Cysts can also develop when there is a problem with the liver. However, this cyst is fundamentally different from liver cysts caused by congenital factors, so it can also be considered a pseudocyst. Liver damage can cause hematoma or necrosis of some tissues, resulting in cysts.

3. Parasites cause cysts

Depending on whether the disease is caused by parasites, acquired diseases can be divided into parasitic and non-parasitic diseases. Parasitic diseases are usually contracted through contact with livestock. Therefore, most of the patients are herdsmen in the western part of the country. In addition, some foods may contain this worm eggs. If people accidentally eat them, they may also develop liver cysts. When you eat these foods, the worm eggs may enter the liver while flowing in the blood, and gradually turn into liver cysts.

4. Congenital factors

This is the main cause of liver cystic disease. In fact, patients with liver cysts due to congenital factors account for more than 90% of the total number of patients. This disease is caused by problems in the patient's embryonic development period. In other words, the disease appears during embryonic development, which is absolutely different from acquired diseases in terms of time. Congenital liver cysts are not a big problem for most patients and basically have no impact when they are young. However, when they reach middle age or old age, liver cysts become a more obvious problem.
