Severe symptoms of pharyngitis, serious harm, please pay attention

If acute pharyngitis is not treated in time and becomes chronic, it will be very harmful. It is likely to spread and cause sinusitis, rhinitis, tracheitis, and pneumonia. Therefore, it is necessary to understand some characteristics of pharyngitis and pay attention to symptoms such as coughing and itchy throat.

1. Symptoms of severe pharyngitis

If acute pharyngitis is not treated thoroughly or in time, or if it recurs, it may turn into a chronic disease. If the infection spreads upward and reaches the ears and nose, it may lead to acute rhinitis, sinusitis, and acute otitis media. If it develops downward, it may invade the larynx, trachea and other lower respiratory tracts, causing acute laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis and pneumonia. Furthermore, if bacteria and toxins invade the blood circulation, it may cause systemic complications, such as acute nephritis, sepsis, rheumatism, etc., which are extremely harmful to the body.

2. Therefore, pharyngitis cannot be ignored. You need to understand several characteristic symptoms of pharyngitis:

First, “itchy cough”. Coughing is often accompanied by an itchy throat. If it itches, you cough, and if it doesn't itch, you don't cough.

Second, an irritating dry cough with little or no sputum. The cough is greatly affected by external stimuli, such as smoke, dietary stimulation, or talking too much.

Third, I always feel like there is something blocking my throat, and I keep making coughing sounds, as if I want to cough something out.

Fourth, paroxysmal coughing occurs frequently, especially before going to bed at night and when getting up in the morning. I often feel nauseous and want to vomit when brushing my teeth in the morning.

Fifth, snoring and breathing difficulties while sleeping.

Sixth, it is easy to catch a cold. Once you catch a cold, the above symptoms will worsen and the cold will last for a long time.
