Is sinus tachycardia a disease? You will know after reading the cause

Studies have found that sinus tachycardia caused by physiological reasons is not a disease and can return to normal in time after appropriate adjustments. However, if it is pathological, it is an extremely serious disease and the patient is very likely to suffer from anemia, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, acute myocardial infarction and other diseases.

1. Pathological: Systemic diseases such as anemia, infection, high fever, hypoxia, acute rheumatic fever, pain, vitamin B1 deficiency, hyperthyroidism and neurosis can cause sinus tachycardia.

2. Cardiovascular disease: heart failure, hypotension and shock, cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, acute blood loss, pericarditis, arteriovenous fistula, acute myocardial infarction and various organic heart diseases can all lead to sinus tachycardia.

3. Physiological: Physiological sinus tachycardia is very common. Many factors affect the heart rate, such as physical activity, body position changes, emotional anxiety, food digestion, excitement, excitement, fear, pregnancy, smoking, drinking, tea drinking, etc., which can increase the heart rate. In addition, age is also a factor. Sinus tachycardia is common in infants and young children and is not a disease.

4. Drug-related: Sympathomimetic drugs, such as ephedrine and epinephrine; parasympathetic blocking drugs, such as caffeine, thyroxine, atropine, and amphetamine, can cause sinus tachycardia. Once the drugs are discontinued, the heartbeat will return to normal.

4. Inappropriate sinus tachycardia: a type of sinus tachycardia characterized by an increased heart rate at rest or a disproportionate increase in heart rate with very little exertion. It is a rare disease in clinical practice and this diagnosis can only be considered after excluding other causes of sinus tachycardia. Severe sinus tachycardia may require treatment with beta-blockers, calcium antagonists, or digitalis.

In fact, there are many causes of sinus tachycardia, such as some pathological and physiological causes of the human body mentioned above, and some drug-related causes are also very complicated. Therefore, it is very important to have a deep understanding of the causes of such diseases so that better prevention can be carried out in daily life.
