What causes pseudocondyloma

What causes pseudocondyloma

Pseudo-condyloma is relatively common in clinical practice. This disease is a benign papilloma. Many people do not know what causes pseudo-condyloma. There are many factors that induce pseudo-condyloma. The most common ones are some infections, and it may also be related to changes in hormone levels.

1. Sexual behavior.

At present, 60% of patients with pseudo-condyloma acuminatum are infected through unclean sexual behavior. The incidence and recurrence rate of genital warts in people with multiple sexual partners are significantly higher than those in people with a single sexual partner. Within a certain range, the age of sexual life is also a risk factor for pseudo-condyloma acuminatum. The incidence and recurrence rate of those who first had sexual intercourse at the age of less than 19 years old are significantly increased. Male commercial sex workers are a high-risk group for pseudo-condyloma acuminatum.

2. Immune function

Pseudo-condyloma acuminatum also often occurs in people with weakened immune function, such as patients with kidney transplantation, malignant tumors, diabetes, immunosuppressive chemotherapy and glucocorticoid use. The incidence and recurrence rates of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum are significantly increased, and the warts are also larger in size.

3. Drinking and smoking

Alcohol is an irritating liquid. Drinking affects the activity of the body's T lymphocytes and suppresses the body's immunity. Smoking is one of the factors that cause the recurrence of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum. Since smoking can reduce the body's resistance, it can easily cause the recurrence of the disease, so you must pay more attention.

4. Endocrine factors

The cause of pseudocondyloma is still unknown, but it is generally believed to be a benign papilloma related to developmental abnormalities. Whether the occurrence of this disease is related to hormone levels in the body needs further study.

5. Other factors

The cause of female pseudocondyloma acuminatum (villous labia minora) may be physiological abnormalities, or it may be related to other infections, such as Candida infection, urinary tract infection, and long-term stimulation of vaginal secretions.
