How to apply lipstick to look natural

Lipstick can help us protect our lips and prevent them from drying out, but applying lipstick also requires certain techniques. It is recommended to choose the right color. For example, people with cool skin tones should choose cool-toned lipstick to avoid looking awkward.

1. Reduce lip lines and maintain moisture. Moisturize with lip balm before applying, if it is too oily/moisturized, press it with a tissue to remove excess shine, then apply lipstick, and be careful after applying! Don't rub it back and forth with your fingers, as it will easily get stuck in the lip lines. Use your fingertips to tap a few times and evenly apply it.

2. Select a color. People with cool skin tones should choose cool-toned lipsticks, and warm tones correspond to them. Otherwise, it won’t look right no matter how you apply it.

3. Technique: Apply lipstick on lips in a “dot” manner, only a small amount is needed. Then use your fingers to spread it evenly and lighten the color to get a more everyday lip makeup effect.

4. The base makeup of matte lipstick requires a clean feeling. The base makeup should be as clean as possible and the skin tone should be smooth. It is best to have a matte makeup effect, especially the area around the mouth should look clean. It will look more upscale with matte lipstick. If the lipstick color is dark/heavy/bright, the edge of the lips should be clearly outlined.
