Can comminuted fractures be cured? Timely treatment is very important

The degree of healing of comminuted fractures is closely related to treatment. Timely treatment can also lead to faster recovery. In normal times, we must also prevent the occurrence of comminuted fractures and supplement calcium in time to prevent osteoporosis. This requires balanced nutrition and proper exercise.

1. Treatment methods

1. For limb fractures, you can use splints, wooden sticks, bamboo poles, etc. to fix the two joints above and below the broken bone. If there is no fixed object, you can tie the injured upper limb to the chest and tie the injured lower limb together with the healthy limb to avoid movement of the fracture site, so as to reduce pain and prevent the injury from worsening.

2. For open fractures accompanied by heavy bleeding, stop the bleeding first, then fix the fracture, cover the wound with a clean cloth or gauze, and then rush to the hospital for treatment. Never push exposed broken bone back into the wound. If the fractured bone has slipped back into the wound while being bandaged, you must report this to the doctor in charge after arriving at the hospital and draw his attention to it.

3. If there is suspected cervical spine injury, after making the injured person lie flat, place sand bags (or other substitutes) on both sides of the head to keep the neck immobile.

4. In case of lumbar fracture, the injured person should lie flat on a hardwood board (or door panel), and the lumbar trunk and lower limbs should be fixed together to prevent paralysis. When moving it, several people should cooperate to keep it stable and avoid twisting. When transporting the injured person on flat ground, the head should be at the back; when going upstairs, downstairs, or downhill, the head should be at the top. The injured person should be closely observed during transportation to prevent sudden changes in the injury.

5. Send to hospital for diagnosis and treatment.

2. Prevention of comminuted fractures

Pay attention to avoid injuries in daily life. To prevent osteoporosis, you should have a balanced diet and exercise moderately. The diet should contain sufficient calcium, vitamin D and other nutrients. Calcium and vitamin D are essential basic nutrients for increasing and maintaining bone mass, while protein and other nutrients such as phosphorus, sodium, magnesium and other minerals also play an important role in maintaining bone health. Exercise can significantly speed up blood circulation throughout the body and bones, and the contraction and relaxation of muscles have a direct stimulating effect on bones, which can prevent and slow down the progression of osteoporosis.
