Secondly, it is necessary to determine which grade of laser protective goggles to use. Laser protective goggles are generally divided into two categories: imported and domestic. According to the certification, they can be divided into CE certified (CE certified) and non-certified products. According to the protection level, they can be divided into OD1+ to OD7+ levels. For details, please refer to the article "Safety Levels and Standards of Laser Glasses". For most applications, we recommend using products with CE certification and recommend choosing products with the highest protection level OD7+. Of course, for some ultrafast lasers, such as fs lasers, we still need to refer to more parameters about protection levels. Thirdly, it is necessary to put forward visible light transmittance requirements for laser protective goggles based on the working environment. Because laser protective goggles have good protection against lasers, but they also block some visible light. Most users hope to obtain a higher visible light transmittance, such as VLT>50%, so that it is convenient to directly observe the laser experiment imagination or laser processing process without adding an auxiliary light source; there are also a few users who require a lower visible light transmittance. For example, in some occasions where visible light is too strong, it is recommended to use a model with a transmittance of <50% or even <30% to achieve the best effect of eye protection.
